Our Purpose

The purpose of the Camden County Republican Club is to foster loyalty to the Republican Party, promote its principles, and to recruit, assist and elect Republican candidates at the National, State and Local levels.  The Club provides a forum for citizens to discuss current issues and proposed legislation with community leaders and elected officials.  Promoting better government through citizen involvement is an expanded area of interest for our members.

May 25, 2021

Dear Board and/or club members:

As Abraham Lincoln famously said “We need to remember these words – America will never be destroyed from the outside, only within. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”

There is a “faction” within the CCRC. A small group of people who are absolute in their determination to destroy our club and its values.  Their sole focus is not on the GOP, the House, Senate or Presidency, but rather, local politics.  Believe it or not, Camden County, MO is not the political epi-center of the United States.   In all seriousness, perhaps the club should be renamed the Camden County Club rather than the Camden County Republican Club?  If the purpose of the club is to focus on local politics, that would be more appropriate.  I have not ONCE heard any of them talk about DC or the Senate/House and Presidency.

I will promise and warn you again, IF the club continues to NOT focus on 2022, there will be no CCRC in 2024.  I will no longer stand by and be a member of a group that seeks to destroy America and our freedoms due to their own vendettas and agendas.

I also need to focus on my health.  Cancer is back with a vengeance, and I have too much to live for to allow this club to kill me, berate me, make incorrect accusations about me, belittle me and shout and personally attack me.  All are not only unacceptable, but are bullying and rude.

I hope your next President and Board are able to save the club before it’s too late.  I’m not a quitter. I simply choose not to be part of a group that has no interest in GOP values.  I tried.  I brought in speakers that spoke about the seriousness of the mid-terms, and was met with vitriol and vicious comments from the same group that seeks to destroy.  Not for the betterment of the club, but for POWER.

Engraved on the wall of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C. are these words of our third president:

God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever.

If America does not turn back to God, then I fear that judgment is certainly coming.”

All of this being said, I am resigning as President of the CCRC effective immediately.

Best of luck,

Susan Sprieck
