DUTIES OF OFFICERS
PRESIDENT:
Responsible for scheduling speakers, determining location and presiding at all meeting. Appoints club Committee Chairpersons and temporary Board members or Committee Chairpersons as required. Serves as a member of all committees except Nominating Committee
VICE-PRESIDENT:
Assist President in all duties. Perform the duties of the President in his/her absence.
TREASURER:
Maintain records and submit all required reports. Receive monies and distribute as authorized by the Executive Board. Consolidate the budget requests from the Standing Committees to prepare the annual club operating budget.
DEPUTY TREASURER:
Assist the Treasurer with all money transactions and reports as needed.
SECRETARY:
Prepare and communicate meeting minutes of all general meetings, board meetings and other functions as required. Manage correspondence sent and received by the club.
PUBLICITY DIRECTOR:
Prepare and carry out the publicity program with all channels, included but not limited to club email, website, facebook, notification of local newspapers and radio stations.
MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR:
Maintain official membership records in the email service. Provide a sign-in for all official meetings. Assist with collection of dues Verify necessary quorum of members in good standing before any vote may be taken.
NOMINATING CHAIRPERSON:
Chair plus two committee members review and interview interested members to fill elected officer positions. They are responsible for preparation, distribution, collection, and tabulation of all member voting ballots.
EVENT CHAIRPERSON:
Review and recommend club participation in community parades and events. Complete sign-up requirements, recruit volunteers, and organize teams for the event.
PATRIOTS’ DINNER CHAIRPERSON:
Lead group of volunteers to provide dinner that includes buffet, elected official and candidate attendance, silent and live auction, and speakers. Determine location, obtain Board approval of the budget, and organize teams for tasks to plan event and evening of event.
